Total quality
FRAP facilities include forging, heat treatment, machining, chemical surface treatment and assembly. The two main components of a ball joint, the ball pin and its housing, are hot-forged ensuring that material fibres of the steel optimise the structural resistance depending on the grade of steel used. Our cold machining facilities include CNC numerical control centres automatically loaded with electronic processors that are the most advanced means of ensuring total conformity and precision of all components during the manufacturing cycle. Full SPC processes are operated to ensure total conformity.
Our quality control guarantees product reliability; tests and inspections are continually carried out under strict control throughout the complete manufacturing process. Our facilities include a laboratory where we can simulate operating conditions and test ball-joints under the most ardous conditions expected during their service lives. Tests as severe as 300,000 cycles under maximum load are carried out on electronically controlled test rigs that produce data and graphics allowing us to regularly check the reliability of the product.
Our sales organisation is fully integrated with the factory and covers the whole of Italy and France, each country being serviced by a network of warehouses that directly supply wholesalers and repair shops. Our finished parts warehouse in Turin covers 2,300 square metres equiped with the latest automatic stock movement systems and packaging lines. These facilities allow us to satisfy any market demand and guarantee quick delivery.
